I hooked this up last night and no matter what I put the selector to on the controller, it will not allow me to boost higher than 9 PSI, which I'm assuming is the stock boost of the wastegate (14B Turbo).

The profec A has to go through some learning thing before you can actually start setting the boost and it went through that just fine. The instructions say the digital gauge should read the same boost level as what you have it set to. Sitting at idle the display shows -.5 Bar, which i'm assuming is a Vaccuum reading. When I'm at full boost, the display reads 0, and I have it set to .7 Bar atm to keep it around stock level. If I try the hi-boost setting of 1 Bar, still only gives me 9 PSI and the display still reads 0.

I have the warning set to 1.2 bar, so thats not it. I did have a little confusion setting up the stepper motor. I took out the stock solonoid and ran the wastegate line straight to the wastegate and the boost source to the nipple on the elbow right after the turbo. I hooked up the boost pressure source to the same place I hooked up my boost gauge, the fuel pressure line. Its supposed to come with a filter on that line, but it didn't so that line is unfiltered atm. Unlike the profec B, which has the gauge source going directly into the head unit. The profec A runs into the stepper motor, and only the wiring harness runs back to the head unit.

If anyone has ANY idea what I did wrong or knows someone I can talk to about this I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance..

After working with this thing all night, and talking with some very helpful and knowledgable Greddy techs, I've narrowed the problem down to a broken pressure switch in the stepper motor(valve that the vac lines go into). When the controller is unable to properly read a boost from the manifold, it won't allow any increase over the stock setting.

As I hit full throttle it goes from reading vaccum to reading 0 boost, while my boost gauge is saying 9 lbs. I got the thing to work a couple times and while set at .8 BAR it would increase pressure to about 12-13 lbs of boost and the boost would bobble like it was hitting a rev limiter.

In short, don't buy an old Greddy profec unit...
