i need to get the strongest connecting rods i can for around 600 dollars, wut are the best ones u guys would say?

Check the parts catalog, Eagle's seem to be a popular choice for most people under 600 hp. Try to watch your spelling too, there's a spell check button down there at the bottom next to the submit button for next time.

Eagle's will hold a bit more than 600hp but not very popular for those High horse power aplications but that does not mean they cant hold the power.

I got my aluminum GRP rods for $500. These are good for upwards of 1100hp in a 4G63. Doubt I will come close to that but they are comparative to the aluminum Groden rods but they were local for me also.

I would say Crower. I had great luck with them.

If you go with Eagles MAKE SURE to check the wrist pin bushing. When the machine shop went to bore it slightly to get the tolerances right the bushing spun right out. I have it sitting here and I can pull it out by hand. Other than that I have had no problems.

i was just wondering, ive got a spare 1g 7bolt in the garage that im building.. to replace my 2g 7bolt.. which means that i can use 1g or 2g 7bolt pistons and rods right? (incase i build the 2g intead) the only difference in the wristpins were found in the 6 bolts..or am i missing the big picture here?

ive seen wiseco pistons and eagle rods go as a set for about 800$,seems kinda cheap(reasonable) to me. ort should i stay away from the set because there so cheap?

i just want to get it right the first time. My goals are 375-400 hp on a fwd that will survice hard Autrobahn runs (the stock nt bottom end is holding beatifully btw on hard AB runs )

A set of big rods would actaully work fine. But for the price of Eagles now, you cant go wrong. Last time I checked you could get Eagles for like $360. And they will hold a but load of HP. I have seen Eagle rods in used in 800whp Msutangs.

FYI, I've got a set of Pauter Rods for sale. Nearly new. $450.00. They will hold anything you throw at it. They are for a 2G.

PM if interested.

Top 3 toonerz answers to silly questions like "which one is the best?"

1.) "My friend knows this one guy who put down 1100hp with (insert brand here)"
2.) I've got (insert brand here) for sale, inquire within!
3.) (Insert least expensive brand here)

Here's some first hand advice.
