So i have recently installed a greddy type s bov, greddy ic pipes and greddy front mount. I noticed quite a bit more lag and at firs tfigured it was becasue of the front mount. I think im jsut paranoid but i can barely rememebr what car sounded like before i put all this on. Its way louder now and the turbo sounds so mcuh louder. So i found a boost leak in my lower ic pipe and covered it with coupler feels fixed i have had soemoen rev the car for me while i feel around all couplers and stuff cant find any boost leaks. Now i know thats not really a good test and i need gauges and to do it right its jsut i cant afford them at the moment and im afraid somethign else is screwed up. Anyone got any ideas. Car laqs liek boost leak and the trubo spollon makes a whoooooooooosh sound thats realy loud. I have owned another eclispe dont think it ever sounded like this. Also i have my bov on hard as far as it wil go and it still flutters. Im jsut afraid its not a boost leak and me driving it everyday is goign to screw it up more?

Go back and use spell check.

You can just take and make the cheap leak tester that vfaq shows and just put a little bit of air in there with a hand pump and as long as you don't pump all day you will no put too much air in there. You can't even hear leaks hardly with the car running nor can you feel most leaks. Just spend the five bucks and make the cheap boost leak tester and use a bicycle pump or something of the sort that won't pump too much air.

Sorry about the tying before. How can i see where im leaking if i can feel or hear them? Not only that but if i have no gauge pumping air in there will do what. I wont know if its coming out or what will i?

It's because it's boost leaks that you need to worry about screwing up your car more, ie killing the turbo. I don't understand why you can't afford to build the leak tester, a job like FMIC and piping with no boost leak test is like not taking antibiotics after a major surgery. :nono: I strongly suggest staying off the boost until you fix all leaks unless you plan on upgrading the turbo soon which would be a lot more expensive than making a leak tester.

Sorry for the waste of thread space. Wiseman i do have a boost leak tester and i havent used it becasue in a thread i read it said that the best way to see if u have a leak is to pump the pressure in and see how fast it goes down with your gauge. I do not have an aftermarket gauge and for this reason i never did a test. Then i came on because that information seemed wierd to me. I posted to ask if you could here them so then i wouldnt need to wait for my gauge to come. After rereading the vfaq i see that u can hear them. Sorry for the stupid post
