Need help picking a turbo!!

I know thee is a vast amount of info on turbo's on here, but there is to much information to go through. So I am asking for help to make a decision. I was originally looking at the EVO III but I don't know if that is my best choice. I am looking for a 400+ hp turbo with as little lag as possible. I of course will be addding all the appropriate mods at the same time as the turbo install. What are your recommendations and why you recommend it? I really need you guys help to figure out the route to take. Also what would be the best FMIC for the turbo of choice with as little modification as possible. Don't want to cut bumper supports or anything that drastic. Will a walbor 255l/ph with 650 cc injctors be enough to support 400+hp. Any other suggestions on setup are also welcome. Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing your suggestions.

I fixed that for you.

A 20G or larger will get you what you want with a good tune and proper supproting mods.

Typically full spool (varies depending on your boost setting and car setup) between 3800 to 4200 rpm. If money isn't an issue, a ball bearing turbo will give you better spool.
 
I was thinking along the lines of the Garrett GT30; one of the 55 or 60lb/min monsters should get you to 400hp alright and the spool will be excellent given it's ball bearing. You must know that at 400 horsepower, it's not a matter of IF stock engine internals are going to fly apart, it's when.
 
I'd say get your self a 50 Trim turbo, this works real good with pump gas, its very streetable, and spool up times a rather good.

Support this turbo with a 3" turbo back exhaust, tubular 02 housing, 38mm wastegate flapper, you could have this internally gated, get you a nice GM maf + Maf translator with 2.5" UICP, any street core from our beloved vendors is good enough to support this turbo, although a bar and plate intercooler core seems to do the job better, S-AFC, and the fuel mods you mention should get you in the 400+ ponnies range and still keep your ride street legal...

Do you have a particular turbo in mind? Most of your suggestions on mods I was already planning, but I was going to go with DSMLink instead of the S-AFC. Will I have problems with boost creep if I go internally gated? Also about what PSI should I be able to run? Thanks for the great info.

Yeah, DSMlink would be a better choice, though SAFC is a couple 100's cheaper, and on the other hand if you get like a BullsEye turbine housing with a internally gated 38mm wastegate flapper and some tubular o2 housing or a ported to hell evo3 02 housing you're guaranteed NOT to have boost creep of any kind... I know of a friend who has a 60 trim turbo with those supporting mods and he doesn't suffer from creep at all...

But yeah In your 400+ goal I was sugesting the 50 trim turbo.

I'm really looking for a turbo with good spool response, like a ball bearing turbo,that can produce 400hp. How well does a 50 trim spool. I also looked at the v-trim. Thanks for all your help.
 
What do you think about SBR GT10 or GT11? I think the price is a little high but to have the spool I'm looking for a dual BB is the way to go. I am looking for street performance and maybe a trip to the track to see what it can do but not a regular 1/4 miler, so maybe 400hp is a little much for the street, but what the heck. Thanks
 
Doesn't anyone know anything about the GT10 or GT11. I have read everything that I could find just wanted others opinion if they have any or know other places to look for info. I have already used search and read all I could. Thanks.
