Im doing a boost leak with a bike pump with a pressure gauge. But when i pressurize the system, my boost gauge doesnt move.

Am i understanding this correctly? The car must be off to do a boost leak test. When the car is off, the boost gauge reads 0. So when I pressurize the system, since the car is off, the boost gauge is unaffected.

How do you guys read your boost gauge while doing a leak test?

For the vacuum for my boost gauge, i have it t'eed off the Fuel Pressure Regulator Selonoid.

The boost gauge works with the car off as it's is mechanical and not electric.

The bike pump cannot supply enough air to pressurize the system, you need a compressor.

.......diddo.

A bike pump WILL work alittle if it is a good enough pump, your best bet would be go to a convience store with free air and do it there :thumb:
