700hp turbo??

i'm trying to find a turbo that can make close to 700whp but want full boost by 5-5500. have had a few thoughts....GT40R, T66, T66 with T3 turbine housing. but i dont have any solid info on any of those on a dsm. if anyone has any suggestion please tell. need facts. looking for low 10..high 9's.

Do you want 700hp with spray? 700 wheel hp? whats the deal.... i would do something like a T66 with a T3 housing. you wont spool a GT40 on a 2.0L and still drive the thing on the street.. that turbo is a full out drag turbo( nothing more than 1320). Plus, if Shepherd is using a GT42R.. You dont need anything close to that to only make 700hp.

plus, your gonna need more than your 255lph pump, probably need a 800hp Aeromotive EFI pump, 1000cc injectors and so on.

Why dont you just get a FP 3065 or a 3575? a 3065 has gone 9's... why do you want something bigger than that when you can spool a smaller more efficient turbo sooner and make the same power and run the same times? not to try and piss you off, but it seems like your going for the whole.." i want the biggest looking turbo so people think im REALLY fast" thing.

Wow that is asking a lot. With a turbo big enough to make 700 WHP I think you should be looking at what those running 9's are using. The GT-35R or FP3065 is good for about 600 WHP with a good tune. I don't know what the FP3575 is good for maybe almost 700 WHP which is what you are looking for. I think I saw somewhere that it sees about 35 PSI around 5500 on a 2.0, but I'm not 100% on that. Also you don't have a built tranny yet. I would kept your 20G and spend the cash on a good race rebuilt tranny. You seem to have the motor for the power. The 255 walbro will not be big enough as was stated before. After 550 HP is starts to just loose to much flow. Plus for 700 WHP you are going to be pushing 30+ PSI which most in take fuel pumps running 75 PSI of fuel pressure just can't kept up with the volume demands.

But for your question the FP3575 would be the turbo you might want to look into for what your WHP goals are.

i want 700 no spray. 3065 is bolt on and not really what i'm looking for. yes i know with a bigger turbo requires a bigger pump and injectors. i'm not trying to just throw a 700hp turbo on my car and not change anything else in my setup. i realize what would have to change to have somthing that big. and no i dont want "the bigger turbo to look fast thing" but i do want somthing that is proven over and over to go low 10 high 9's. not somthing like a 3065 wheres theres not even a hand full of people that have hit a 9. i'm asking for turbos that have proven to do what i want and be able to spool before 6k.

A well tuned gt35r and a 50 shot will get you pretty damn close to your mark. Ive seen as much as 650 whp from the gt35r.

sorry, you posted before me. Again though, the gt35r has made 650, and on dsmtimes alot of people in that range (10's and 9's) are using a gt35r.

gt35r isnt a bad turbo at all. in fact a good friend of mine is runing one. i want somthing a little bigger than the 35r because most of the time 600-650 is what your going to get out of it. and i think to go 9 in a full weight 2g is going to be a stretch. IMO

Well there is 7 FP 3065's in the top 50 fastest awd DSM's, thats 10 sec. or under so I would say it is more than proved itself worthy. Anything with the 61 mm compressor wheel is a great turbo capable of making obscene power for the street.

Don't forget the added weight of you full roll cage that is mandatory for anything running 9's and lower. I think it starts at 11's but I don't remember all those rules.

I hate seeing coments like these. He isn't asking how to make 700 WhP or even if xx will work for 700 WHP. Their are a small handfull of people makes 600+ WHP. A lot of them don't really post much on here. He is just asking for some guidance. Seems he already actually knows what turbo's will get him their. I'm guessing he want's some others insights that are making these numbers. Most of these threads that you are talking about are people asking for which parts to buy to make xxx WHP. He is asking about a turbo. If you read his profile you will see it appears he might already know what he needs. I restate the obvious cause that is me. (Captian Obvious) Sorry for the trolling. I just happened to still be at the computer.

yeah i think you need a cage once you reach 11.0 seems to be a pretty commonn response to say either gt35r or 3065. both of those turbos are rated at around 600hp. i want a better than that...preferably T3/T4 or full T4. i've been favoring the GT40R which is rated at 700hp but i dont know about spool.

ok wow there are alot of ass holes on this forum that just like to run there mouth about shit while having no clue what there eve talking about. to say "this is a dream thread" is just crap..yeah maybe for you it is but if i'm going to invest over 3k into my turbo set up i want to make sure i'm going to be satisfied with what i get. yes i know what its going to take to make what i want but i wanted to hear other people opinion. cant hurt to hear from people that are actually knowlegable or have done it them self, but i dont need responses from people who have no clue what there talking about or our just trying to be an ass. and no i dont just take my car to some shop and throw down money and have them do it. no shop has ever touched my car or ever will. i guess it was a bad idea to come to tuner to ask a real question because half the people on here just bull shit and arent trying to help anyone or give a honest response to somthing. i respect the people who are honestly trying to assist some one and give there insight but whats the point with you people who just slander people and somthing they say on threads?
