well finaly got my gauges installed and hooked up. and was watching the temps today.. on the highway doing about 74-75 roughly 32-3300 rpms. it was at 1400. is this a bit high ??

im getting a new turbo(evo 16g) and SAFC2 and 650-660 injectors w/ a 255 lph walbro. but i was going to get my car alarm before this but id like my engine to last as long as it can before a rebuild (plan on doing it in a few months) id rather buy the safc2 and fuel pump or something before the alarm.

just want to know if the temps are to high or what.

what happens if i'm going uphill at 2000rpm and my egts hit 900*c? am i in trouble..? when it happened, i immediately got off the gas. what should i do? i have 550cc injectors walbro 255 fuel pump and my a/f ratios are rich when i floor it, but i dont know why on freeway driving when going up a grade, my temps get really really hot.

That could be it. I have high EGTs because I'm running VERY rich and the excess fuel is still burning when exiting into the manifold, making the EGTs skyrocket, even at lower RPMs. My EGTs actually go down a tad when I floor it, since the engine is drawing in more air and slightly improving the A/F ratio.

You are correct, sir. But in my particular case, it's as I described. With the fuel mods I have, I'm pumping way too much fuel into the combustion chamber. And since he said he has bigger injectors and a bigass pump, I thought there may be a chance that his situation is similar to mine.

Very possible.
