Okay, here's my situation:

I have a 16G, with no other fuel modifications. I'm only running at 11 psi, to be safe for now, and taking it easy on the car. I have the supplies for a fuel-pump rewire, but I have yet to get down and do it.

I have very few other modifications on my car. ACT 2100, 2g pistons, free mods, MBC.

What I'm looking to do in the long run is get an AEM EMS system when they are released for the 1g's. I know what is involved, and am willing to put in the time and effort (and if need be, cost to pay someone to help me with it, so please don't knock that decision, it's not what I'm asking about). That will cover my logging and tuning needs in the future, when that happens.

What I am looking to do is make more use of my 16G without having to buy things that will eventually be replaced by the EMS. I'm looking to avoid the buy-twice. At the moment, money is kinda hard to come by, with school and all, so that's why the EMS is a future goal.

This is probably a real difficult question, but I figured the people here would have some good ideas that I don't know.

This car for now is primarily, and most importantly a daily driver, to work and girlfriend, and school. I don't want to wreck it, or ruin my gas mileage either. It's not like I _need_ it to go faster either, but you all know how it is :)

So um, tell me your ideas, or if I'm just looking for an upgrade path that doesn't exist.

Thanks a ton guys

Either way you are going to need most of the normal upgrades right? I understand you may not want injectors now, cause you would need them tuned but you want to wait for the ems. But an intake, ic piping, full exhaust and a fuel pump nd regulator wouldnt hurt you at all now. You could even turn up your boost a pound or two.

Aah, thanks for the suggestions man, my mind was drawing a blank when I tried to think of things that I can do right now. Completely forgot about intake/exhaust stuff, duh :) hehe.

Any ideas for things I can do to the fuel delivery situation? Or am I just pretty much stuck with the stock injectors for now, until I get the EMS to control bigger ones?

Yes you could get a fuel pump and a fuel pressure regulator, which would allow you to urn up your boost a bit....

See if you can pick up a used Blaha MAS for cheap (with the flapper door). Get a big fuel pump (which you will eventually need anyway) and an FPR and a mechanical gauge (which you should also eventually get). Then an MBC (and hopefully a boost gauge). And gut your stock cat. You can run around 15psi. If it feels wrong you can up the fuel pressure at the expense of maybe running a little rich at low throttle.

I ran a similar combo but with an 18G. Car was fine, no damage, was fast, and I didn't need any stupid tuning devices that don't work (EGT, 02 volts).

K&N, off road pipe, cat back, three things you will never want to replace. I wouldn't suggest getting upper I/C pipe yet, because if you get, say the RRE upper IC pipe, then later on buy a Buschur FMIC, then that RRE pipe will be a waste unless you sell it. For a fuel system, deffinitely a Supra TT pump, and a Buschur Racing custom fuel pressure regulator. The supra pump will do almost 600hp on a DSM, and the BR custom fuel pressure regulator is the best on the morket (in my opinion). These are two things that you will not be replacing.
