egt/o2 readings are arguing

on a 2nd/3rd run tonight attempting to do a quick tuning session, at the top of 3rd gear my egt's hit 1600 * F (after some afc adjustments), but my 02 reading only went up to .82(after the same adjustments). i know that o2 isn't really an effective way to tune, but shouldn't they follow a little closer? correct me if i am wrong but shouldn't the o2's be around .88-.92? i know that i want to be around 1600*F peak as far as egt's go. any help would be greatly appreciated.

ps my timing went from 18-20, stayed & crept up to 24 as the rpm's increased. i know i want to be around 20ish, 24 shouldn't hurt much,,,correct?

my knock count spiked to 1 once, other than that all 0's through 2nd & 3rd.

If the timing is good, they car is pulling and EGT's aren't melting stuff. Forget the O2's. Every car is different, I pull like a mother and ny O2's are .94 and .96

Yes becasue you increased boost and didn't change fuel. Depending on you pump and injectors it may not change that much. But you will probably need to add a little fuel to be safe.
