Just wanted to open up some conversation on settings for running the MAFT and 660s.
I know people are going to have a lot of different setups here, but knowledge on what others are doing can help.
What I got is 660s and a walbro 255 on 1.3MAFT>HKS powerflow filter>stock intake so far>stock lower IC piping to stock IC>2.5" upper IC piping.
IHIbbearing 16G killer turbo on a 1G>about the same flow as big 16
2.5"dp to immediate 3" before the flex and back
Autometer A/f
Apexi EL 60mm EGT
pocket logger
Ive ran the MAFT on stock injectors for a couple of days, and have 1 day before this of intown driving/blasting off on 660s.
My settings on the maft on the hiway today started at
6-3-1-1 cuz they worked good for me in town
I have on 6 b/c I still got the stock FPR but I do have a guage on it
I started to notice that when I excelerate going from 50 to 70 or so, my 02V mostly stayed at .83-.87 (mostly .85) from mid to wot and my a/f guage wouldn't cycle into the green when just on the gas a little and mostly staying in the mid to high .70s. No knock count
so I started playing with the settings a little bit
7-3-1-1, no change
7-4-2-2, no noticable change really
7-4-3-3, maybe runnin .87s more often
7-4-4-4, no change, Im starting to think the MAFT and the ECU arent liking eachother right now and are not making changes like they should b/c 15% more fuel should be noticeable on the a/f gauge and EGTs, 0 knock counts while doing this all
my EGTs while doing this slowing down to 50 and then going to 70mph would not reach over 930 and mostly stay just ~ 910, I have my EGT probe tapped into my #1 exhaust manifold runner.
Should I always be b/t 880 and 920 deg when driving at highway speeds?
I turned the base up to 8 (the actual setting that Ive heard you should run on 660s) and noticed nothing so I went back to 7 b/c I remembered seeing my FP gauge sitting at about 42-43 psi for some reason at Idle even though I have the stock FPR on there. I even tried going down to 6, which would be richening it up b/c I think it would be like injecting a 660 shot of fuel when the MAFT thinks you are injecting a 576 shot, so that should have richened things up real fast, but only a very small noticeable difference.
I try one more little test and accelerate to just over a 100 and watching the EGT gauge and knock counts. The EGT goes up to 910 and stays there and no knock counts.
Whats the deal hear guys?
Im thinking maybe my 02 sensor might need replace, I have 2 so Im gonna throw the other one in today and try the same thing out. But mainly Im thinking that the MAFT isnt adjusting accordingly along with the ECU very well and maybe the 5% claimed increases for each adjustment for fuel are not being scene that way.
Thanks for the replies
