Just got a VPC/SAFC combo installed on my Galant the other day. First off, I must say that I love the combo. Whoever says it's not "street-drivable" either hasn't run it first-hand or can't tune to save their lives. Anyhoo, on to my question/concern. I've got 650 injectors and the Buschur 660 chip and at WOT I'm seeing ~30* of timing. Yes, you read that right. ~30* of timing! I've heard that this is a problem with the 660 chips. Because they dial back so much airflow to compensate for the larger injectors the ECU thinks there's less load on the engine and thus rewards you with more timing. But I strongly feel that this is a bit TOO much timing for WOT. I'm getting some pesky knock at ~5500 and above that I can't seem to tune out completely. I'm thinking that the radically advanced timing is playing a part in the knock. Anyone running the 660 chip care to chime in? Anyone running the 550 chip/660 injector combo care to chime in (thinking of going this route actually)? Just looking to see if my car is an absolute freak or if there are others out there like me
