V-tech S-AFC by apex, WOuld it WORK???

Hey whats up everybody. I have a question for those with smarts on the S-AFC. I was in the process of purchasing a S-AFC and I told a friend, he has the v-tech s-afc and hes hooking me up with it but its from his honda of course. My question is would it work on my 97 gst eclipse?? My understanding is that they do the same thing, but the vtech s-afc has an extra feature to control the v-tech . But would it work on my car, just not use that feature?? Thanks, If it doesnt I will just buy the one for my car and sell that one.

Yes, supposedly you can use a V-AFC to control your fuel curve like you would with a S-AFC, it just has functions that you do not need to control VTEC.. I personally wouldnt use it because the first person who see's a V-AFC in your car is going to think your a rice boy whose clueless because you have a VTEC controller in your DSM.

There shouldnt be any eror reading if it doesnt see the vtech conected. Right?
Ill just slap a sticker infront of the v-afc sign .

Yeah but it says VAFC or VTEC when it starts or something like that so no hiding that ...

Just buy a SAFC.

If you're getting a really good deal on it, then go for it. It's basicially the same thing.

Get the V-SAFC, and Just tell your friends that you have JDM MITSUBISHI MIVEC ENGINE IN YOUR CAR, so you use V-SAFC. I hope all of you know what's MIVEC engine by MITSUBISHI, it was used on FTO.
