Freind of mine is selling his talon, I might buy it. anyway it is vpc and gcc equiped. how do I learn to tune it? do I need to get a logger? and whats a good starting point with a 19c, 7.8:1, and 550's? I really want to learn how to be able to tune it my self. hopefully I will have this car in a week when it runs again (putting a new tranny in). he's selling it to mr for 5500, can't pass that up.

You probably want to pick up/borrow a good logger. That will definetely help you out.

Buy a logger.

Then, without even driving the car, tune the idle fuel trim. Use that setting to base the rest off of, depending on injector size.

There are a few things you should read. First of all, there is a TMO vfaq, it has a very good description of how the logger works.

Also, there is a link in my signature to a tuning FAQ. Read it.
