afc tuning w/ honeycombs on a 2g?

just curious if anyone who's running a 2g with an afc and if they've had
any luck tuning the car right w/ honeycombs removed. i've been
messing around with mine a bit and with the side combs out i can
get it pretty close with the same settings as rre on their 2g table.
problem is letting off the gas at high rpm and holding in the clutch
the idle takes a dive and will stall ocasionally. just want to know if
messing with the honeyombs is actually worth any power or is it
more trouble than its worth? thanx...

I would put the honeycombs back in. On a 2G removing the honeycombs is nothing but headaches.

just did today. there was a night and day diff. in throttle response and
part throttle oper. dont think i will be taking them out again.

Yeah, I haven't touched the honey combs. I think tuning is hard enough, why make it harder with messing with the MAF!!!
