General running rich...please help

running rich...PLEASE HELP
I put my 90 GSX in the shop for the timing belt. When I got my car back, it was running rich. I mean when I first turned it over, it was acting like it was getting too much fuel. At one point it even died on me. It wasn't dong that before I took it to have it worked on. Any ideas? I'm lost. The mechanic told me the car was running good earlier in the morning. please help!!!!

it take a little while for the ECU to learn everything if they unplug the battery while doing the timing belt.

Exactlly what he said. Drive the car around for a little bit and it will go back to normal

i've already drove the car almost 60 miles. The ECU has had plenty of time to "adjust" to the the new belt. I'm thinking maybe the belt slipped. I don't know. Any other ideas?

Check for vacuum/boost leaks. Set the engine to TDC and check the timing marks on the cam gears. That should let you know whether the intake cam is out.

The other thing to check for would be vacuum leaks.

bring the car back to the mechanic and tell them to figure it out since when you brought the car to them it was fine and its not now. Thats what Id do.
