4k Miss @ WOT only

To make a long story short I can go part throttle and build 20psi up to redline with a miss 2 here or there, but as soon as I go WOT, it's starts missing bad, almost like an automatic gun(in terms of frequency) and it only seems to happen up top, even if I were to turn the boost down to 14psi it would repeat the same symptoms.

Im running E85(E70 right now due to winter) and BR7ES's plugs @.22 gap.

Ive put a blacktop CAS on the car, new plugs wires and plugs...coil pack will be next.

I am clueless

Why such a small gap? Does your spark blow out at anything bigger than .022''? It's gotta be spark related, maybe fuel. Maybe you have an injector cutting out or something weird? I'm not sure how you would diagnose this. I dunno bud, just throwin ideas out there.

Edit: Is it always right at 4k or does it vary when it misses? If it's always at the same RPM, it's more likely an issue with ECU or something like that, which is what i think Jeff is getting at in the post below.

Do you have your Launch RPM at 4000 RPM?

Do you have your speed sensor operating?

Can you update your list of mods so some of us can look at your setup and help take some guesses.

It varies @ 4k or right around there...I will check the ECU next and get this coil pack on the car when the turbo gets back. In terms of spark plug gap I have tried everything from .35 down to .18. I'm going to log the injectors next. Like I said I can go part throttle all the way up to whatever boost im running perfectly fine and the car is pulling hard as ballz, but as soon as I got W0T, shit hits the fan and I start thinking about turning the wheel

Well, from looking at your mods, i see you have 1600cc injectors. I have heard of their being problems with those. From what i've heard they are hit or miss on firing reliably and consistntly and sometimes you may have to send them back for another set to get ones that function correctly.

That's just one guess, but other than that i would check the plug wires or coil pack for cracks. Also the ECU that was mentioned could play a big part in it too.
