My friend and I are trying to turbo his ‘89 BMW 325i. I have all the bolt-on’s to make it happen. Only set back is fuel management. This is not a very serious project and I am not going to put lots of money in it. With that said, I refuse to spend $500+ on tuning. My idea is as follows; use solely, an AFPR to achieve a SAFE (does not have to be perfect) air/fuel ratio. I understand the car will not run ideally but I can cope with it. Will I get the desired effect with an AFPR? Why or why not?

Tuning with just an AFPR.....in theory I would imagine it would be possible to achieve a half-ass running piece of something.

With an increase/decrease in fuel pressure you will get a change in the "squirt" from the injector for a given period of time. However, pressure control only is just too crude as the tolerance range is just too wide.

I will say yes, it can be done, but no, because it would just be too half-ass and not motor safe.

Now if you're looking to just try stuff out, damn the consiquences.....then sure, do it and let us know the results.

your call.
