Hi, I have another newbie question for you guys :D.

I'm getting ready to install my Bosch sensor into my new wideband kit. I was just wondering; If all 5 wires of the 02 sensor need to be connected to the module of my wideband, then does the ECU stop getting signal from the sensor? Am I doing something wrong?:confused:

The ECU stops getting signal from what sensor? In normal form, the ECU never interfaces with the wideband. You'll still retain normal FrontO2 operation.

If you replaced the stock narrowband with the wideband sensor, then your system should have a "narrowband" output which you use to replace the original Front O2 signal. This isn't really recommended though, since the temps in the stock location can easily exceed the manufacturer's suggested temperature for the wideband.

The wideband 02 sensor. When I replace my stock narrowband with the Bosch wideband, the Bosch sensor doesn't connect into the stock connector. All five wires go to the wideband module.

What he said. The WB controller will have a simulated NB output that will be fed to your ECU.
 
He is trying to say that if you replace your front O2 sensor with your new WBO2 sensor, then you have to wire the narrowband simulation of the WBO2 into the front O2 sensor input at the ECU.

If you aren't replacing your Front O2 sensor with the WBO2, like most people do, then you don't have to touch the ECU wiring.

There may be some write-ups in the tech article section. You have a 1g, so you either had an O2 bung welded in and you don't have to do anything, or you installed it into the stock location and you need to run the narrowband output from the wideband control module into the "Pin 4" seen here: http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ecu-harness-1G.html

Are you going to be replacing your stock o2 sensor with your wideband? If so, there should be a wire coming from the sensor designated as a "narrowband output". This must be wired to the ecu in place of the stock o2 sensor.
