Well, I did a 3rd gear pull, only till about 6k though. I was on the highway with some one following so I didnt want to go too nuts... here is my results.

thats when I stopped. Now to me, it says, MORE BOOST NEEDD!! I'm getting pretty much zero knock, a **** LOAD of timing, and although .84v may seem low, my timing is through the roof so I'm not running lean! Waaaahooo!! :)

My injector PW was maxed at 16.154m/s which is about 82%. Looks like I can raise the boost :)
 
What boost are you running? What IC?

I say lean it out some across the board, maybe -2, and do some more logging. Go in increments of 2 until you get knock.

I didn't see a FMIC or upgraded SMIC. I would say tune it as best you can for 18psi on pump gas. Once you have your settings for 18psi, write them down and put them away and up the boost to 19 or 20 and tune the car running more boost. Then make a comparison and see for yourself.
 
Looks like your 02 at 5906 is kind of low you got a knock count on that one, it would be better if you several runs and find an average. Also you should start from a stop becuase you said that you where at cruise and then punched it, so you don't have the built up heat from doing a pull from a stop. Find your average from several different pulls. Looks like your safe at .88v. Post some more runs..
 
I'm sorry to say this but o2's are really useless. A lot of DSMers base their tuning on them and it really means little to nothing. Although at the highest RPM I got .84v, my timing was through the roof, and only a knock count of one. If I was running lean, the timing would of been pulled, and knock would of soared. Correct? This is on the stock intercooler. and 15psi.

I would of done a run from a stop, but my slave cylinder is shot so I have to press the clutch in twice to get it into 2nd and 3rd gear, not datalogging friendly. :)
 
Yeah, don't go by O2s. My O2 are at .80-.84 and I get no knock and 20-23 deg advance. Every car is different and while O2s are good if you have nothing else to go by, they are not that useful all by themselves.

Tune by knock, EGT and timing and keep an eye on your O2s. When i tune, I like to start at a low boost, like 15psi, and tune it good. Then go to 18psi and tune it as best I can, and finally 20psi and tune that well. Compare how each boost level feels, what your peak EGTs are, how good of timing advance and how much knock. This way gives you a great baseline to go by for different boost settings, helps you get better at tuning your car, gets the most out of your car, and you can compare each boost setting and it's effects so you can pick the best level for your car's setup and your driving.

On the stock SMIC, 15-18psi is pretty much what you are limited to, but each car is different. On my 16G, I can only go up to 17psi. Otherwise I get way too much knock and heat soak affects the car oh too quickly.
 
$250. My friend bought one for his 99GSX. 2 weeks later, that car got stolen. He ended up buying a 95Tsi and lo and behold, it has an EPROM. I am buying it for what he paid for it. That and I get his Infinity amp, cabling and head unit since mine is on the fritz.
