MAFT RPM mode problems

I've had the Full Throttle Speed translator version 2.xx for over a year. Previously I had it in my 92 TSi AWD and now I have it in my 91 Laser turbo fwd. It worked great up until a few weeks ago, no problems at all. I had been to the track a couple of times where I tuned it with no problems. Then one day I took it to a dyno day at a local shop around here, and on the first pull we realized it was running really rich, i.e. below 10:1 and the o2 voltage was anywhere from .95v to .99v. Well I thought no problem, I'll just lean it out some before the next pull. I did just that, but it made absolutely no difference. Still below 10:1 and .95v to .99v on the o2. The guys at the shop let me do another pull just to see if I could get it to work, so I leaned it out as much as possible. Still didn't change anything. Well needless to say I went home a little disapointed with my dyno results.

I didn't think it would take much to fix it. I thought the rpm wire had worked it's way loose somehow. The reason I came to this conclusion was because everything else would work. When not in RPM mode I could adjust the base, idle, mid, and wot knobs and see results. When it's switched to RPM mode (dipswitch 4 on) the settings from non-rpm mode are saved like they are supposed. But no matter what I do with the knobs in RPM mode, nothing changes, always between .95v and .99v on the o2.

So today I finally decided I wanted to fix it, so I rewired the rpm signal (white wire off the translator). Previously it had been on the smaller black wire coming off the CAS, but I decided this time to wire it into the rpm signal wire coming off the ecu (pin 21) which also comes from the CAS. I did some logging, and the problem still remains. No matter what I do in RPM mode, nothing changes. I leaned it out as much as possible (setting all knobs to 9 which would set everything to -28%) to see if it would change, and nothing did. At this point I don't know what to try besides seeing if I can borrow someone's translator.

If it helps any, I'll list everything I have done to my car.
