I am changing the fuel filter on the firewall here and i have a little problem, i got the top banjo fitting off but its the bottom one i can get a wrench on it by taking the passenger side wheel off and shoving one up through the fenderwell, any of you guys change this thing before? I cant get the bottom nut off the stupid thing.please help, will take nay advice, i used and impact gun on the top nut? not smart but thats the only way i could get the top nut off. let me know how you guys did it.

I had to get a tubbing wrench 14mm i think. Put it on there the put a regular wrench on the top. And just turn it was a pain in the ding ding let me tell you. Nothing else i can really say i do know the tubbing wrench helped out a lot though.

go to the gym, pump some iron, get stronger and go at that thing like it just made fun of yo mama. Seriously though there is really no trick to it, just need some good ole fashion elbow grease.

I'll try that guys, no joke about goin at it like it dissed my momma, its a b*tch man, we allowed to cuss in here, i'm tired of using other words for pain in the ass problems. I'll try this one more time, i'll let you know

Yeah thanks for the tubbing wrench tip. i couldn't find a 14mm wrench taht size so i used a 9/16 line wrech (same thing) and then i put a back up wrench on it, had a friend get up on top and take a 3/4 wrench to the bottom top nut to hold it so i could give it hell on the bottom. It finally popped off there, i dumped the old one over, and out came water and crud. yuck system should stay clean for a while now. thanks

I think everyone has had this problem. The best way i could find was puttin one wrench against the firewall giving you both of your weak, scrawny hands to break it with the other wrench.
