Anyone have an AEM EMS?

Is the AEM EMS a true stand-alone? Can you remove the MAS if you put the EMS in?

my AEM will be here tomorrow.

the AEM is a true stand alone. to get rid of the MAF you need a MAP and IAT sensor to convert it to speed density. thats like 50 bucks in sensors.

yup its a true standalone. yes you can remove the mas and install a 3bar map sensor and iat sensor and your all set. the map senored base map hasnt came out for 1gs yet though. might be hard to tune wuthout that base map.

Would either of you please elaborate on that statement? I have a friend who is using tec 3 in a project he's currently in the middle of and I am curious about it. Please explain any pros/cons of it and capabilities which it does or doesn't have.
