MS Autocrossing

Well I just went autocrossing for the first time on Sunday. Wow is an understatement. I drove from Jackson over to Shreveport to meet the Red River SCCA group that morning. The group of guys was awesome and made me feel very welcome. The bad is that I desperately need seat time and I was in street modified. I got a ride in a Cobra Mustang also in SM. I have never ridden in a car that handled that well. As I strapped in the driver said,"no screaming allowed." I laughed but he was serious. I had a blast and it will definitely not be my last event. So the point of my thread is that I was wondering if anyone autocrosses in MS or AL and LA. Jackson is pretty central to several sites and I will be going to events more often than I ever went drag racing.

I'm a little out of your AutoX range, but just wanted tell you congrats on your first AutoX. I've been doing it for years and seat time really is priceless. I run my Talon in SM also.

Yeah I was really slow with a good line or plowing and killing street tires. I think somewhere in between will come with seat time...and suspension/tire/rims.

I recommend the Falken Azenis RT-615s; I currently run them and they stick pretty good, considering the price. However, i've got and extra set of wheels and plan to run Hoosiers next season.

+1 FWD killing tires.

Next weekend is a Columbus meet...or maybe the weekend of the 26thish. You have to fill out a form to get on the military base and my friend does it for a big group of us. Ill get back to you on the date. Hopefully we will have our 92
there by then, but I'm not counting on it. Shoot me a pm or something if you want to head up to Columbus.
