upgrade help?

i have 97 gst, 16g big evo3 turbo, 3" intercooler piping, 3" down pipe all the way to exhaust, now the question is do i need to upgrade my fuel injectors? i have walbro 255.

Depends on how much air you intend to move. Short answer: Yes, and you need a way to tune for them.

I'm guessing by his name he's new to dsms. Cut some slack. Have you upgraded your fpr to an afpr? If not that 255 maybe over running the stock afpr and you could be running rich. I was suggest your next upgrade be a tuning device, either apexi afc or dsmlink. Also of you plan on turning up the boost yes I would suggest upgrading the injectors, after you get a device to tune your car with. Also a wide band would be a wise choice.

I notices you have a flashable ecu. That's a good tool to have. I would search the forums for what you or what to do to flash it.

walbro will not overrun a 2g fpr, i have a 2g fpr in my 1g, there is literally nothing wrong with this. the only time this happens is when the fpr is old and ready to die

If he has a wally 255, He will NEED a afpr. I know from experience.

You cant upgrade the injectors unless you have a tuning device like safc or link or flashed ecu. I had the safc but then went with link. Its the best thing out there.

I've read multiple post and forums where people are running rich cause they get the 255 and don't bother to switch over to an afpr. Either money or they don't know what they are doing. Better to be safe than sorry. Ask anyone running a 255 and why they switch to an afpr. It over runs the stock one. And a 2g one is an upgrade for the 1g guys cause the base fp. Atleast that's what I've read on here.

Not trying to tell you what to do but I have the aem wideband and it's great. If you get a flash tune, you'll need a new chip if you upgrade everytime. The safc is good but only up to 650cc injectors. And if your going to spend all that to get safc, why not get link. I have it and it's great. Real easy to use once you learn.
