So the time has come to sell my clipse. I have had it for 7 years now and it has served me well. Nothing serious (by dsm standards LOL) has gone wrong. It's a 98 GST with 105k on the clock. It has an alpine system (deck and speakers) and an hks carbon fiber ti exhaust as well as a strut bar and gsx rims. I have a cone air filter and a greddy blow off for it as well ( not installed).

My question is, how much do you guys think I should put it up for? I have never been in a position to sell a car and although the book isn't high on these cars I know they sell for more. I figured who better to ask than you guys right?
 
Has the Timing belt and components been changed? If not, rule of thumb is to take 500 bucks off the price. But I would asked for around 6,500OBO, it has low miles in my opinion.
 
hah... dsmersam... bakersfield? that's my home town!!! my bro is in bake town and he has a 2g as well. ne ways back to the point.. yeah, i guess it is time for the timing belt to be done again, i mean i had it done like at 75k but it would good to do it again just to increase/keep value (?)... the things wrong with the car are: check engine light, which i am pretty sure is the MAF, passenger side door handle (those effing handles i tell you, i have gone through like 3 of them already... what the hell mitsu!?) and it has a set of terrible ... i mean TERRIBLE rubber... Wanli's. those have to be the worst tires ever. my buddy who had a "buddy" that worked at a tire shop was supposed to hook me up, but when we got there the guy no longer was an employee so the guy that was working said he would hook me up as best he could, these are what i got... they have a ton of tread left on them, since i hardly drive the car now, but the tires are known (this fact was not known to me when i bought them) to be ridiculously stiff in a bad way... not good for performance just good for vibrations and all around shitty ride when reaching 70-80.... steer clear... if someone ever offers you wanli tires.... just nod your head, say "hrm... that's interesting" then out of nowhere punch them in the face!...

k, well sorry for my rant.
 
haha.... LOLz... the rims are on the car... just saying they aren't the stock 5 spoke 16" rims... they are the gsx 17" rims ..... yes with the shitty rubber that i mentioned earlier....

"Rims" don't have spokes, wheels do. I don't think you're getting it.

Anyway when you list the car make sure you include what type of wheel it has too, not just the rim. :thumb:

Where's one of those Defiant style picture diagrams when you need one..
 
ah semantics... i understand what you mean... sorry... i meant wheels.. but i am just used to referring to them as rims... when talking to the ppls u always say 20 inch rims and such... not 20" wheels.... so i apologize for my improper usage of said terms...

on a side note... it looks like you have a really nice ride (automobile)... when i originally got my car i had planned on doing something pretty similar to yours... oh, what could have been, what could have been... now i feel like an old man and just want to drive slowly and peacefully... LOL
