this is probably a common sense question but wheres a place i can go to get my car weighed? ive added and removed so much stuff i wanna see where its at. mainly so i can get a hp estimate on dsmlink anyway. suggestions?

I always took my Hondas to truckstops off the interstate. However, those CAT scales are designed for a much bigger load range than most passenger cars fall into. The most accurate place would probably be a race shop that can put you on a set of cornerweight scales. Plus, it never hurts to know how balanced you are.

there is a pl off the 91 freeway from buena park, take the 91 east, exit east, make a right on the light, make a right on orangethorpe, first street make a right and there it is. 9 dollars..

Everybody else, your yellow pages will often have a listing for Truck Scales. Failing that, ask a local truck stop or agricultural haulers.

I 2nd the scrap yard.....Seeing as how at somepoint our beloved dsm's will finally make a resting place at one.

Just think junkyards do take in cars but what happens when a car gets everything possibly stripped thats salvagable? Poof off to the crusher.

The dump and truck weight stations are what i have always used, if your going to go to a weigh station do it while they are closed, no lines and no one around to bother you.

No, I'm telling you I went to truckstops. You know, like gas stations for trucks? Not highway department weigh stations, truckstops. And usually, there are no lines OR highway patrols. Most truckers don't need to use the truckstop scales since there a numerous mandatory weigh-ins on the interstate.

Go to a recycling center. The scales are very accurate.

The best place to go for free is a moving company, because there scales right in front of the warehouse and all you have to do is stop and then go inside and ask the weight. Then leave, its that easy.

Don't forget about grain elevators, their some of the most accurate scales around. Having a scale in my backyard helps too; but from use, I can tell you they can be dialed in to within a pound, older ones within 5 pounds. Just remember that most places charge between 5 and 10 dollars per weigh slip.
