okay I've been trying to figure out what is wrong. I've got a TMO datacable and I'm trying to get it working on a PalnNStein. I've used 4 male to male null modem cables (all have 2&3 switched) and it's still not working. I tried 2 palm devices which are Visor Platinum with a serial cradle and also a PALM vx with a serial cradle (both Palm OS 3.5) but still no go.

For those of you that manage to use TMO cable on a Palm, what palm device are you using ?

first off, did you get palmnstein running? did you press UP on the palm on the title screen of palmnstein to select 1G mode?

tunerstein on a laptop works just fine. However I cant make it to work on a pal (palmnStein) and yes I've already have the 1G dsm cable box checked

so the program actually runs on the palm? that was what i was asking

yes the program runs fine on a palm...in test mode..but I ca't connect to the car

hmm, all it should take is the null modem cable. do u get an error?
No rev error perhaps?
of course u have tried it without a null cable?

is the TMO a straight thru hookup, or does it ahve power, etc wires coming from it?

nope did not get any eerror....that's why I believed it probably because of the palm vx itself..I've tried it on a visor but then Hal already warned abt half breed Palm os device like the visor..

I'm trying to get another palm device..maybe a m100 and try paln nstrein on ti..see what happen
