With every holiday season follows a new year. And with that new year brings change. Many times that change is fueled by new drive, ambition, or in my case a new turbo!

I'm honored to be the first to sport Turbochargers.com newest "Eliminator" turbo variant. :shhh: Yeah the tag is there, but there is a reason. It's called the "Eliminator" strictly for the reason that it does not require the "j-pipe" from the 2g install kit. What will u need, the oil feed and return lines. Well enough with the boring stuff, lets get to the nitty-gritty.

What exactly is it. :confused: Breakdown:
- Garret T3 comp housing (machined)
- 7cm sqr turbine housing
- 46 trim comp wheel
- TDO6H turbine
- Monster Thrust Bearing

Just recieved it today, and hopefully will be up and operational early Jan. to kick off the new year. Mucho thanx to Wade, Tommy, and the rest of the guys at Turbochargers for letting me take part in bringing in the new year! OMG

Why 46 trim? Give us some review on the turbo once you get it installed. The turbo look decent nevertheless.
 
Y do u always have to ask the hard questions? LOL, Actually the main reason y is b/c that was what was on the table to play with, j/k. This is really a senior variant of Wade's turbo (ask him he's jealous). The only changes were the T3 comp and TDO6h instead of the 16g and TDO6 if my memory serves me correctly. I'm getting to preform some of the inital tests and what nots. Oh yeah, did I mention dyno time on www.________.com new AWD dyno. If indead this does not preform as I like (20g characteristics), it's not a hassle to bump the trims up or change the comp housing. Keep in mind this is the first born and everyone can only speculate what it'll do for now. KISS rule applies here with proven parts, so I'm not so worried about new technology botching things up.
 
Sorry for the hard question.. LOL.. OK, here is an easy one, why T3 comp housing and not T04E?

Can't a man type on the other boards in piece! :laugh: Like I said this is a starting point and Tommy pointed out that it's an option and easy convertable, but he wanted to start with the base work and work up. I agreed based upon what I was being offered :shhh: I think they are trying to move away from the BigT28 crowd and make a series something more suitable for 2Gs.
 
I wish my x-mas was as good as that.
 
Well in all honesty, the turbo was a gift to myself! I know I'm the grinch and a selfish one, LOL!! I wasn't planning on getting it till after the new year, but lets just say things got a little kick start :p
 
Currently the line up looks like:

Apex'i S-AFC
Apex'i AVC-R
660 injectors (need, anyone selling)
Apex'i upper and lower IC pipes
Apex'i FMIC
Apex'i BOV
Apex'i downpipe
Apex'i Dunk exhaust
Injen air filter
Victory O2 housing (need, anyone selling)
FPR

Pretty much a bolt on system for now. Next comes cams, internals, and possible aqua mist system.
 
Looks like somebody's kid got a Big Wheel for Christmas!:D Very nice turbo. Please keep us updated as the install progresses. I'd be very interested to see what kind of numbers this thing puts up. Too bad I need a J-pipe for my 14b.

It's on and running like a champ. Reason I haven't posted anything yet is mainly due to school and work constraints :( Anyways, I'll get off my lazy a$$ and punch out a review. Still need the new injectors to really make her sing, but at 15lbs of boost with the stock 450, she'll out run just about anything. Can't name anycars b/c none of the TAs and Camaros in my area wont race me :laugh:
 
I got a 2002 Camaro that'll run ya. Do ya think that little turbo will break off some 12s yet. I just bought myself a large t4 and a RRE FMIC. Along with the 2.6 stroker going in the car in the next month or so, I should be able to give you a worthy challenge. I'm not too far from Houston my self. Wanna meet up somewhere some time. I have a gang of F-bods here in Lufkin that would love to take a shot at the DSM. They all hate me for spending time and money on my GSX instead of my Z28. Lemme know.

wow, 2.6 stroker kit? OMG
i've never heard of anything higher than the 2.4, is this a home made thing? or is it a kit? ::must start searching the net...::

LOL 93greentsi, yes I admit I'm an Apex'i WHORE :thumb: I'll be picking up 660 really soon. 4wheelsNmotion if your ever dropin down to h-town give a shout out I'll come and play.

I managed to piss off a Z28 (not sure on mods, had a nice rumbly exhaust though) to play. He thought the lanes merged and almost side swiped me instead of staying in the empty lane to his right. Anyways, he pulls infront, honks, slams the breaks. I'm like f-this and turn down a side street. Here he chases me and almost rear ends me as I creep over a speed bump. Here's where it gets interesting. He pulls to the opposing traffic's lane to pull ahead of me. I was just coming off the bump so I'ld say maybe 3-5 mph for me. He was booking pretty good to get over the bump and in front of me. Well as the back wheels touch down over I notice this and the light pops on above. Golden opprotunity to finally see what she can do. Pissed of diver = no holds bar. So we go. I bring the revs to 3500 and drop into 2nd. I bog, they gobble up a car length. Then it kicks in and wham end of second I'm dead even, spin the wheels in third and then slam on the breaks. I noticed the other speed bump (ricer attribute :D). I manage to just get down to enough speed with out botteming out and I watch a Z28 go airborne. Funny part was the passenger is giggling his guts out as they turn off ending their pursuit.

Is she ready to race? probably not. But I now she can handle the some big dawgs in this in-between stage. Oh yeah, found out one more thing on this turbo. More power right at the 7000-7500 range. Enough for a another sink-in-you-seat feeling. I'll keep you all up to date!! Have to pass inspection first :laugh:
