Why is that better than a turbo? Besides, no one makes a SC for 420As.

Press Control-F then type

A supercharger is better then a turbo.

Hmm no results, maybe thats because he never said that

It would be different. I have never seen a SC for our cars, but that doesnt mean they dont have one. It would be less stessful on the engine compaired to a turbo, I think. If I am wrong dont flame me, just let me know ;) . If you can find one go for it, it would be cool.

I never said a s/c was better than a turbo and i dident say anyone made a s/c kit for the 420a. I think it would be pretty cool if someone made one and it would definetly be something different. I asked what peoples opinions were on the subject not for you to put words into my mouth so please try to keep pay a little more attention to what you read. Weather a s/c is better than a turbo all depends on who you ask because they boath have there ups and downs.

A supercharger would be interesting on our cars. The intake manifold definitely takes up enough room for fitting a somewhat decent size s/c. I think the main reason people go with turbos is that there is no parasitic loss with a turbo. The supercharger would have to be driven by the crankshaft and so it takes power away while still adding it.

As far as turbo vs s/c wear on the engine... I don't think that there's that much difference. Both compress air going in to the engine and are capable of being damaging if too much boost is used. If anything I'd think the s/c would be slightly better on that note since it's compressing cold air only. Not absorbing hot exhaust air AND compressing incoming air. I'd think this would equate to lower engine bay temps.

On the other hand... upping the boost on the s/c would mean removal and replacement of both a pulley and a belt. The turbo would take the twist of a boost controller up or down.

this is the sight of thr company Thomass Knight Turbos (TKT) they make the supercharger kit for our 420a. Does anybody know anything about this company?

The kit includes a remanufactured Eaton 62 CID superecharger w/ 1-year unlimited milage warranty, custom intake manifold, SC to SC manifold gasket, throttle body adapter plenum, gasket for throttle body adapter to SC, idler pulley and mount, belt, FMU fuel controller, and boost gauge. All of your hp and torque numbers go up 50% with 6-7 psi and an exhaust. The instant boost makes the car feel even more powerful as it pulls like a V8.

This is what the guy e-mailed me about the kit.i have read that the kit is only $1500 but i want to hear that from them.

the common CAI, header, and exhaust cuz it sounds like you get everything you need with the kit.............if you want to turn up the boost then you will need to replace internals

well I just had some head work done and got a valve job about a month ago... so I'm sure I'm fine there, and as far as everything else goes I HAVE IT!!! Hmmmm ... just a month ago I was saying how I DID NOT wanna boost my car, But I don't know the SC sounds so cool and I know that nobody here in my town has one so DAMB oh what to do what to do!! well I figure I have a little decision time since it will be summer/fall before their available!

Sounds nice ... LISTEN
SUPERCHARGED 420A
