Greddy type RS sound clip

I don't like the type s on eclipse's. Its a whistle... and I don't like whistles. Just my opinion. I like my HKS Standard... won't do good when I up the boost, but it works for now...

Your first mistake is buying a BOV for the way it sounds... Buy one for the way it functions for your car.

I agree with performance over sound as much as the next guy, but when you have two units that function similarly and one sounds like ass, which one would you honestly go with? I'm not about to pay $300 dollars for something that operates the same as my $35 1g bov just so it sounds cool, but if mine starts failing and I need to upgrade, I would like something that works right and has a decent sound to it.

so how's and why is the Greddy Type S bov better than the 1g Bov.

Well you can look at it in the eye of a person who loves performance as well as showing their car at car shows! In this case scenario....the Greddy Type S will get you more points then the 1g bov, so in this case its better.

Well, like they said...it's not all about the looks and sound. Those expensive BOV's out there (Greddy Type-S/RS, HKS SSQV, TurboXS Type H-RFL, etc.) aren't just made to look fancy and attract attention with their loud a$$ hissing. Whether you know it or not, there are performance aspects to look at as well. You may think your stock 1g or 3000gt bov's are just fine because you don't care how they look or sound, but that's not the case. I'm goin for the sleeper approach, but I'm still gonna buy one of those Greddy ones. I'm gonna buy the re-circulation kit so i'm not venting back into the atmosphere and letting everyone know I have a turbo on my beat up lookin RS. I know that my fancy Greddy is gonna open, close, and just overall outperform any other stock or cheaply made blow-off valve.

Wrong...You don't have a 4G63 with a MAF that requires recirculation

Yeah, I know that it's not necessary...but does that mean I still can't do it?
