Im tired of waxing by hand!

By hand is the best way. Using a power buffer on a semi aged/aged base clear job can yield less than satisfying results. If not done correctly the buffer can burn right into your base. Too much speed can cause this and letting the buffer sit on the surface and accumulate heat and friction can also cause this. Your hand cant create enough friction to cause a heat build that results in scoring and clear burn. I wax all three of mine my moms all my dads and my brothers car one time a month generally. All by hand if I get a nice scratch I might break out the buffer but generally its all hand work. My parents are older and really dont want to do it, so being the nice guy I am go to their house and do it for them <they have six cars between the two of them> I stay for two days so dont feel bad. Easy 300 bucks in my eyes. My brother is just an idiot and I dont trust him with the new paint to wax it just yet. Mitsu has a bad rap for having SUCK factory paint jobs. Hand polish will only make it last longer. When you buff you take material away that is already of questionable quality. Before long there wont be any paint left.

You don't have to spend hours doing it if your not also polishing it. Just take some wax, apply, let it sit for maybe 10 minutes, wipe it off with a microfiber. I detail and everyone else who details does the same thing. We don't waste hours on just waxing.

Well my issue was that the paint was starting to feel like sand paper. Me not knowing, I figured it needed to be waxed which it did but it didnt solve the problem. I finally went out and got a clay bar kit and now its much better. I did it to my cf hood as well, feels like glass.

I would really like to give it a nice polish and wax so im thinking about getting the Meguiar's G110 Dual-Action Polisher.

I use a Dewalt buffer. It has 12 speeds I think and I use mostly Ardex products. My paint looks like a mirror 95% of the time and feels like a babies ass.

To ease my joints from constant waxing I usually only do a full wax 1-2 times a year but every Friday I try to wash and wax the car with Nanowax by EagleOne. It's just your cheap spray but it does wonders for gloss and finish between serious waxes. As reported by the forum linked above, the product is low durability but high on shine.

I have it. It works great and you don't have to worry about burning through the paint. There are TONS of different compounds that have different cuts to use for a specific thing. Some of the common ones are M80, M83, M105, etc etc. NXT wax is awesome and always works good. Ill wax my car a lot by hand if I don't need the buffer. It takes 10min and wait 30 (or until dry) and wipe off with a microfiber.
Check out the Meguiar's Forums, they have a lot of great info in there, along with tips and tricks.
