are they the same? or are the bolts slightly askew?

im pretty sure theres no difference. just bought some for my awd off ebay, and they werent labeled awd or fwd, they fit just fine.

It'll depend on the maker. Many are different for hood, engine and battery clearance. 4G63 motors, turbo or not, often have a flatter part over the battery and an arch over the engine. And they're often installed backward. Some bars mount far enough back that they're both the same.

eBay's cheapest is more than good enough.

Make sure you have the vinyl cover over the positive battery terminal, and that you have a secure hold-down for the battery.

I'm talking about a rear strut tower brace. I ordered one off ebay for pretty cheap, that said it was for 95-99 eagle talon (all models). When I went to install it the braces don't line up across from each other, they face either 45 degree's into the trunk, or 45 degree's into the car. There is no way that it will fit without drilling two new bolt holes in both of the braces. That's why I was wondering if the awd and fwd strut bolts were at a bit different rotation.

Aw, crap, duh. Sorry.

Hmph. So, the studs must be just about fore-and-aft oriented in the car. It's been too long since I did mine, I've forgotten. However, the pics in the shop manual show the studs both the same for FWD and AWD, and at an angle relative the thrust line. Show me the car pics if you can.

I'll get some pics in the car in a few minutes after I eat lunch. But yeah, I did contact the seller, he "assured" me that he sent me the correct part and told me that "professional instalation is highly reccomended" After that he never replied to my emails. So I'm going through paypal

here is it as lined up to the bolts as I can get it. It's almost impossible to get it completely onto the bolts as the inner cover is in the way.

Send that pic to your seller and tell them you need the correct part.
