how much boost are you running??

If its 18+ then your 1g bov could possible be leaking. They are known to handle a little more...but yours is old..the gasket might be bad. Maybe the turbo wasnt installed right.

Do an intake leak test. check this site, theres instructions on how to do it

well what i ment was my car was stolen Whenigot it back the wastgate vac line was disconected..Ondrive home my car bucked cause it was running at full boost its at fact boost now but could that have messed up my bov?all i know is what it sounds like and after i got car back my hp was lower than it was befor..doin a compresion test soon but i think its a boost leak...sounds like its comming from bov..

Well i think i found my problem..I tightened EVERYTHING that could b tightened .My da*n bov bolts were really loose.dunno how but were loose.I took it for a spin afterwards.i still herd the "VENT' sound but only for a sec and then.BAM!My hp was back!Cant wait 2 get a k&N and hard piping now...
