Hey guys, I wanted to request the stillen front with the hump in the lip taken out. I'm posting guedo's car and one other, but please feel free to do another (black doesn't show the kit as well and the silver one isn't the best quality pic). I would like to see both angles though.

Okay so I was bored (and also awake thanks to a sleeping disorder and being out of my medication for it) so I did the PS myself on the last on using Jasc Paint Shop Pro.

I'm still bored so I did the first image as well...
Let me know what you guys think (about the bumper, not the crappy PS job).

better idea :)

The only problem I see with that is that the lip has to start somewhere. If you cut of the sides like that it won't look right and the tires will be exposed in the front. I like that you ditched the lip for more FMIC space. I toyed with it to no avail. I couldn't get it to look real. I like your approach. ;)

The only issue that I can see is that the hump in the bumper actually does serve a purpose. Without that hump I would not be able to fit a jack under the front of my car....... just something to think about before you would actually remove the hump.

I thought that the stillen was fairly level with the sideskirts.
You can still jack up the car on the side if your jack sits to high (most would) and then jack up the front. I have a lot of spare jacks and stands.

It is pretty much even with the side skirts but my car sits so low that a jack won't fit under it without the hump. You could do what you said with jacking up the side and stuff but that just becomes a pain in the ass.

That's an interesting take Rice Killer. I like it, but it reminds me of the Blitz kit, but I don't like the Blitz kit and I'm not sure about the intercooler.

I got bored and took another hack at it with a large FMIC and a shaved lip. Someone was toying with the idea of removing the sides, but I still think that would expose the tire. I think this beats any lip kit out there, and it's urethane. Oh, and thanks to Guedo for the use of the pic.

I was hoping for something like this... :thumb:

Yeah, I saw your thread, and actually edited that pic. But I can't think of how you would actually achieve that without simply shaving the sides down and filling the HUGE gap. I still don't like the hump in the lip. It looks alright on certain color cars, but my car is white (which I love).

Without the hump in the bumper it is really hard to get a jack under your car! But I do agree that with out the hump it looks cleaner, but a little less agressive.

That's where I got the pic. Thanks. Yeah, the jacking issue has been mentioned. Is your car stock height?

Well, since my Northstar White 2G GSX was totaled when I got rearended and was replaced with my 2G Sorano Red GSX, I thought about this idea again, but also wanted to cut out the foglights for cleaner lines and for running a large FMIC. I haven't gotten around to getting rid of the bumperlip (bucktooth), and I thought about trying the change to the sides that was made earlier in this thread by stock1G4G63.

Not to be a jerk and whatnot but, how the hell do you jack up your car from the front? i was always taught that you do it from the sides where you jack the corners up individually.

Also id like to say... nice ps on the removal of the upward sweeping part on the kit... i like it:thumb:

You can jack up the entire front of the car just behind the radiator where the cross brace under the engine bolts to the frame (unibody). It's much quicker and easier to jack up the front of the car this way and be able to put jackstands on each side at the same time.
