Engine swap help!!

Hey everyone,

I am in need of help!

My daily driver 1g Tsi sucked a bunch of water and hydrolocked my engine . I am looking for a shop or someone with extra space in their garage to allow me to do an engine swap. I have a 2g gsx with a hole in the transmission and shot front suspension with a built 6bolt complete engine.

I do not have the money to buy or build another engine right now nor to fix my suspension and buy a new transmission for the 2g

So that being said my plan is to put my good engine from the 2g in my 1g which has the good working drive train and suspension and get my daily driver back on the road.

I have all the tools to do the swap. It should only take me a couple days to get the job done to a week tops. I live in Kirkland at the moment but I can tow the car anywhere with in 25-30 miles from here.

I'm really tight on cash right now but I can pay some. I can also let you have any spare parts that will be left out of my bad engine and 2g or help you work on your DSM. I've owned DSMs for over 6 years now so I've come to learn a lot about these cars.

Do you have a 6 or 7 bolt in the 1g right now? You should look up 6 bolt to 2g 7bolt swap. It's not going to be a drop in and run deal. 2g sensors are different as well as ecu and harness.

the 2g has a 6 bolt. so i just have to bolt on the 1g front rear and side engine mounts to the block. i might have to remove the timing belt to get the side engine mount on tho

both cars do have a complete 6 bolt
