has of now im builting my car to be a street machine ready for the strip but thats not really where my passion is!
i have all my old friends and borther that run at the strip and so i was put on that path!
Ive always wanted to do autox since i was a young young boy playing with my hotwheels! I just need some advice on what a good setup for autox is??
Is a fwd car good? and a link to how the classes and rules work?

i live in austin area and there isn't really ANY place to do autox so its not big at all here but its what i want to do, so im asking for help from you all!

(well there is one track i found in austin but you need to be a member, its where the rich people of austin take there lambos and sh*t to get their moneys worth out of the power i guess haha)

I do know of an event in dallas that is having a small autox course but my car isn't ready for it yet so i will have to pass, but i will keep my eyes open!

If your car is safe to drive on the street, it's ready to autocross. You will actually learn a lot more autocrossing a stock car.

well ya but the rules.. and the classes.. and all that stuff is needed to race, forrect?
And well my car is running like caca, and my second gear grinds everything i shift into it inless i let the rpms drop to almost idle!
so no bueno... its not ready for any type of track!

i was just looking for some insight on the whole autocross scene..
And off road rally racing is probably my all time fav but there is NOWHERE EVEN CLOSE that even talks about rally racing!

A completely stock car is what you want to start. Especially if you want to be competitive.

Yes i actually ran across that site a while back but just looked over it... thanks... i went back and read more deeply into it and email the inspection tech about how the race inspections go, and email some others about info on events!

Thanks and once i get out there and have my first track day ill be SURE to come back and post my results and want course it was!

Thanks again!
