Okay, I picked up this book a few years back and wanted to know if anyone else has read it. I picked it up due to recommendation from the Penn State SAE chapter.

The book has a lot of useful information to understand how to win. The book is by world known Carroll Smith.

It can be found here: Engineer to Win Understanding Race Car Dynamics

I am interested to hear what you guys have to say about the book; that do roadracing/trackdays/autocross/etc.?

LOL....Thats funny that you bring up this book. I have read it in the past and just bought another copy of it the other day. It is a very good book and goes into allot of detail on setting up your chassis and other aspects of the car. I am also reading another similar book just on setting up your suspension package. What different changes will do and how it will/should effect your car on the track. This is the book I am currently reading too. Its called Speed Secrets - Professional Race Driving Techniques. Both to me are very good reads if you are into road racing or jsut want to know allot more about what your car can do and why it does it.

Speed Secrets, Speed Secrets Ser., Ross Bentley, Book - Barnes & Noble

Have you read any of the other books that Smith has published?

I'm looking into buying the whole set just to have for reference.

I'll have to go into my office at the shop and look and see but I am almost positive I have. I read loads of racing books so its tough to remember all the titles :D But if you get the whole set, you will not be disappointed man. Good reading in those books, Smith knows his stuff.
