I was curious if anyone could compare an Evo 4, 5, 6, 8, or 9 shift assembly to what the 1G and 2G has. By this I mean the way the arms on the shifter moves when in 1,2,3,4,5,Rev. The reasoning behind this bizzare question is this product:
http://www.ikeya-f.co.jp/en/index.html (click on Sequen Shifter under products)
It does not convert a DSM tranny into a true sequential shift setup, but replaces the H-gate pattern to a vertical gate. While you still have to use the clutch it does eliminate a mishift from say 3rd to 2nd when you wanted 4th. If the arm movements are the same and the throws are the same then adapting one of these to a DSM should be a cakewalk. Any thoughts or comments?
