1g in need of quick help!

just picked up the 90 tsi awd the other night... cold here so it was smoking a lot when it first started... thought it was cuz it was cold and oil was sitting thick... but then i got on it a little and smoke pours into the car at high rpms.. so i thought something was up engine wise.. checked it out.. oil all over engine bay or at least on underside of hood and all over valve cover and alternator area.... oil does it when i get into higher rpms.... smokes a little when i start it normally and let it sit bu i think its just the oil from the blast burning off.... dipstick was up a little and i pushed it all the way down ( i didnt even notice it was up cuz it was covered in oil,) i thought maybe with it pushed down it would be better cuz mybe it came out of there? anyways what could this be? dont see any oil on valve cover so i dont think its the gasket there.... also there is this plug wire attached to the side of that alternator just hnging there.... trying to upload pic now but what is that plug? does it affect this oil thing?

is ur oil cap on tight?...if the motor still runs, and doesnt tick..then for the most part u should be good.. i say that because...just be happy u didnt blow the motor.. if it ticks, it could be somethin with the pistons.. i did it in my old car... no oil....

could just be burning oil.

did u try starting it after u pushed the dipstick all the way in?
