Car dead... Electrical

Well today driving home from work I stepped on the brakes hard to avoid a wreck and hear something go thud. Got home opened my door and hear a buzz through my speakers when I opened the door. Wierd

Anyway came back down 2 hours later. Car is DEAD... no power at all. Jump started it and it started. Drove it 30 mins and then got out and tried starting it immediatlly, DEAD I can hear the alternator kick in and charge the battery when I jump it and start the car, but I get what sounds like electric current coming through the radio speakers when I open the door when car is running. If I turn it off, it will not start unless I jump start the car. I almost think something is grounding it out or something. I'm not very framiler with the elctrical system.

Anyone had this happen or anyideas? Fused under the hood all look to be good.

Car runs fin after jump start but will not start after turning it off even after running for 45 mins.

Do you have an aftermarket stereo with amp and subwoofer? If so, check the wire that goes to the battery to the inside of the car for the amp. Maybe that is shorting out, and causing all of this. Something similar to this happened to me, when we inspected the wire it was getting really hot on the terminal. Whoever installed this stuff before i bought the car did not put anything around the hole that they drilled in my firewall and that after time cut into the wire causing it to short out. So we removed the wire from the terminal, and the car started right up. If this is not what is happening to your car, then good luck....

Nope no stereo

I have several things I can check I guess, after searching for a few hours.

ECU Caps
Relay in-line with battery and alt
ALT-fuse
Starter 14V power supply may have grounded out:
Clean battery terminals
Try New Battery.
