Here is a background of my car. I have a 1995 gst with a 6 bolt motor. the motor was installed this summer and ran good for about 1000 miles. Then after not driving it for about a month i ran into this problem.

I was cruising along and all of a sudden my CEL came on. No longer then 2 seconds later my car started to run very bad. It ran like it wasnt getting enough fuel or not running on all 4 cylinders. It lacked all of its power and barely would go over 40 mph, stuttering the whole way. Then i pulled over and popped the hood. I didnt notice anything wrong so i just pulled the negative on the battery for a minute and then put it back on. The car started right back up and ran fine for about 35 miles. Then the light came on again and 2 seconds later the car ran like crap again. I did the same thing but this time i only pulled the positive and when i went to restart the car after reconnecting the positive terminal it wouldnt turn over. The starter wouldnt even try to turn over. The car just made some weird click click click noise. So i got out disconnected the negative and then reconnected a minute later and it ran just fine. This is where im at now. Wondering what the hell it could be. I have no idea where to even start. Any of you experts have any idea?

thanks

arent you in the dsm1gina2g yahoo group??
if you are then i think i replied to you there.
if not your getting the notorious RM, random missfire.
you need to get a DSMLINK (DSMLINK.COM) or if you think it may already have one. take out the ECU from the car, open the ECU and there should be an EPROM in the ECU. If it has a sticker on it that says DSMLink V2 than all you would need to find the cable to hook up a pc or laptop and cancel the RM CEL. if youdont have any of this than save up for dsmlink. in the meantime unplug your TPS and this will solve your stumbling at over 45mph. It will idle like crap for a while but its easier to leave with bad idle than RM..
good luck man..
