Alright I updated my choice of DSM from a 91 plymouth laser FWD turbo to a 93 Eagle Talon Awd. Heres the problem right after racing my DSM agaianst my friend Prelude (i won), I stopped to talk with him I my car was idling at 2,000 rpm. turned the car off to see if that would eliminate the problem, it didn't. I in return decided to give my car more of a beating and go for top end. Problem is I missed third. So I put the car in neutral let it coast for a bit. Put car back into gear (5th this time). Pushed on gas which did nothing the car just coasted just idling. Kept on hitting the gas but had no affect. turn the car off and coasted to the side of the road. I then tried to start the car and only heard the starter spin. It sounded like it was not engauging. Alright no problem. So i got out and to my horror the drivers side was caked in oil front to back. Oh great rod broke and went threw something nope! I popped the hood to start looking for the source not the dip sick ok. I had my friend try to start it again to see if I could hear any bad noices? Nope! Starter spins so does the motor but no combustion. Started to look more toward the bottom of the motor and you know waht i found? The gasket between the oil cooler and oil filter housing was sticking out. never seen this. So checked the oil level, lost about two quarts. Alright so now you know what I did and how. What the F*** did I do my motor? Did not do a compression test yet. I Have the car done at a shop and are allowing them to fix the gasket and in the process are allowing them to do a new timing belt. When you try to start the car the motor turns and makes no bad noices. But also it just sits and turns and sounds like it has no compression at all. Alright did I A) jump time and bend valves B) kill a relay or C) did DSM instal some kind of kill switch in the ECU (hey just wishing!). Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
