Ok, Just bought a 91 Eclipse GS-T from my cousin for $500. I knew the engine was screwed up when I bought it, but the body is in perfect condition, not to mention his rims and subs came with it, so I bought it. While he had it he ran it for a long time without oil, and it screwed the engine up. He didn't have the money to get it fixed, so he parked it. Well now when I start it up it takes forever to turn over, and once it does it wants to die unless you give it some gas. We've only drove it once, and that was to get it into our garage, and it would want to die right after you put it in first gear, but once you get into second it doesn't do it anymore. We let it run for about 20 minutes, and at first nothing went wrong. Then once the engine got warmed up the oil pressure dropped, not all the way, but a lot, and the engine started misfiring, or Not firing on all cylinders. Any idea of what's wrong? Will a rebuild fix it, or will I have to buy a new engine? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
