i was told it was my valves that needed adjusting. I got a price today to have thaty done, then someone told me that i have hydraulic adjusters and they cannot be adjusted whats with this. I have the 4g64 engine.

-Could be the hydrolic lifters need to be cleaned, vfaq.com has instruction. 4G64? I though N/T has the 420A motor.
 
it ticks all the time. i put a quart of oil in it this monring and it stopped. it wills top for about 3 days maybe 5 depending on how much i drive and then starts again. and yes its 4g64. why does everyone think its a 420a?
