low oil pressure??

last night i was riding home and i noticed i had low oil pressure so i pulled over and added some and then it raised it a little and then finished going home, i let the car sit for about 3 hours and then checked it and it was full, so i cranked it up and it moved to normal pressure, but when i started driving it down the road it started drop a lil below normal and i was pushing 10 pounds of boost so i know that it should atleast be at normal..what could it be the oil pump? faulty gauge? what?

No low oil pressure idiot light from your Oil Pressure Switch? Odds are it's faulty / leaky gauge indication / sending unit - But needless to say this must be troubleshot to conclusion immediately.

see i thought the same thing too but i don't want to wait for some light to come on and end up blowing my engine.. i think i am going to install a mechanical oil pressure gauge and see what happens

They are messy - you don't want one inside the car - outside for a test at the Oil Filter Housing I could see it... Check out the Sending unit, the wiring connector & the Stock Gauge first, this is not an uncommon thread.
