1g head swap--problems

i did the 1g head swap on my 98 gsx and ever since (about a week) it has trouble starting....i replaced the battery and the plugs(which were fuel soaked) and it started up....it idled high for a little while but eventually would go down....it doesnt start up the same as before and seems like it struggles to start, especially when its been sitting in the cold for so long....its winter here btw and its been realllly cold...like 1 degree cold!....i still have to get in dioed(dialed) or something like that where they take two wires and do something...im not sure about that though....my check engine light is on but that might be my tps sensor....on the 2g head, my tps was going out and my cel came on and it read tps sensor......its about to be put up for the winter and a new turbo kit will be going on but i want to make sure that nothing is wrong....any help would be appreciated....

also, the car stutters but i think its because its not tuned at all....i have 550's, pump, exhaust, intake, 1g bov, 1g head(egr is blocked off)

the throttle also sticks sometimes if its been sitting but i think i need to clean the tb which may be the cause also...thanks again and i just hope i can get this all solved....
 
ummm...first thing to do is find out what codes are stored in the ecu, ok?.....just hit up your local autozone they will do it for FREE!! then let us know, that will give everyone a little more to go on...:dsm:
 
i forgot to add that i did get it checked....they were all about emmisions since my egr stuff is gone
 
if it's a 2g and it's running as bad as you say it is it had to set some codes that are non emissions related right???....do you know what codes they were?? it'd make things a little easier..not trying to be a prick just that the info you gave could explain about 90% of car problems on here and it's already hard to diagnose something from thousands of miles away, know what i'm sayin?:dsm:
 
i understand what your saying but i do not remember the codes...all i know is that they had emissions in there.....however...i replaced my TPS and the studder calmed down a bit..now i think it needs a good tune and it should be fine...
