I purchased a 95 gsx with a 6 bolt swap in it from a reputable shop a while back. Ever since I got the car the radiator light (carnival light), battary, and handbrake light keep coming on. They dont stay on constantly but fade on and off, but just the other day they were on for a while. I asked the guy I got it from and he says that it started doing that after he put the new flydine radiator on and called the shop that did the swap and they said if nothing is leaking or anything is really happening then it will be fine. This happens occasionally. Has anyone else heard of this?

My question is, could it be because of a problem with the clutch? BECAUSE I had a 95 vr4 a while back and when you kept the clutch pedal in to long while moving, those exact same lights would come on. Same as this car. It has a 2600 in it and a b and m shoft shifter. Could the trans mods be causing this somehow or just a short somewhere?

So there's this yahoo group that I'm a member of... bay-dsms. Oddly enough there was a post about this same exact thing from, "the new guy, from Chicago." That wouldn't happen to be you would it?

Anyway, if it wasn't, here is what what posted as a reply by Tom Stangl, mr vfaq himself. And well... if that was you, at least others on this board will know what was already suggested so they don't suggest something that you've already heard...

The "3 light syndrome" usually points to a battery/alternator problem.
Get a DVM, check the voltage of the battery with the car off. It should
be 12-12.5V. Start the car. The voltage should increase to 13.5-14.4.

If the voltage is too low with the car off, suspect the battery. Charge
it for a while, drive it for a little bit, test again. If voltage is
low, consider a new battery.

If the voltage is too low with the car running, suspect the alternator.
Take the car to Kragens/Autozone/PepBoys, have them hook up the tester.

As mentioned before by others, carefully check for loose connections
everywhere before buying new parts, though. Also check the 80A alt fuse
in the fuseblock near the aircan - if you bumped the bolt terminals for
it with the IC when reinstalling, you could have blown it, resulting in
the 3 lights without any components really being bad. If that fuse is
blown (use a DVM with a continuity check, don't just look at it), you
have to loosen the bolts on each leg before removing it.

Ok this does make sense because the battary does look like shit and he said he just changed the alternator. Maybe thye did a BS job. TY ALOT for all of your replies.

And no it wasnt me in BayDSMs but he is from chicago maybe it was him?

I don't know why DSMs do this light show for a bum charging circuit, but this must be about six now that I've read this about.

This is really weird because I was the first case that I knew of until now. I was always told it was nothing at all. Is this something farely new that has been figured out?

How would have the new alternator have died already? Something metal hitting it? Bad install job?
