A squeaking noise from the driver's side wheel...

Ok, before I begin, the outter tie rods are new and so is the upper control arm. I am getting a squeaking noise on the wheel for some reason. The noise disappears after i spray some WD 40 on the suspension. I am thinking that it is my ball joint but I am not sure. I have no side to side play or up and down play on the wheel. The noise only comes when i turn the wheel left or right and also comes while driving and hit a bump. So my question is can the Struts or springs make this kind of noise when really old and/or dry?

It could possibly be where the spring rests on the shock. Have you checked for a leaking shock at all? I don't really know how hard it will be to check, but jacking up the front end should be fine.

I have the same problem and ironically the same car. It just started this past weekend and I have no idea what it could be. If it are the spring perches how would I go about checking them.
