something bad or very bad

ok, i have some more problems out of my 1998 gsx, it started sputtering the other night like the spark plugs were bad, but when we went to pull out the plug wire it came apart. well, when we finally got to were we could see the motor real good, there was coolent all around the overfllow bottle in the engine compartment and then we saw oil by the oil stick and around in that area on the motor(this is when i about ) well, thats about the time we see white smoke coming out the exhaust well, we drove the 10-15 miles home and the oil pressure was normal and it didnt overheat. anyone have any ideas or am i going to have to take everything apart?

Need more info. Can't go on too much about it. It could have overheated, coolant overflow could have been too full, wite smoke could be from oil falling on the manifold, and the spark plug wires need to be repalced. It may have been arcing in there. Stock wires suck. Do you have any mods done?

Headgasket? Your explanation was somewhat confusing - What did your oil 'look' like?

Bad as this COULD BE - it could get VERY BAD real quick if you aren't prudent in the next few steps you take. Blown head Gasket is one thing... Contaminated Oil - Bent Valves - Warped Head - Bent rods - is a WHOLE 'nother freaking ballgame...

i do have some mods on it, just basic bolt-ons right now, and the oil looked fine but it was almost time to change it, but it has been parked ever since this happened. and i know about the other ball-game part, 3rd motor in 1 1/2 years and 2nd trans.
