knocking not ticking need help

ok i have a 91 tsi and i noticed that one day my car started to knock really loud not a lifter tick this is like a knocking really loud, when my car idles at 1 grand it doesnt sound but when i give it a little rev it starts to knock really loud, its comeing form like the head the right side to liekw ehre the belts are. and my engine starts making like a wraping sounds not wraping paper but like a ticking when i give it a rev to like 3-4k rpm's i was wondering what it could be my car is stock no mods on it. o ya knocking will go away after like 2500-3000 rpm's

wouldnt that be down bottom of the engine? and will it hurt my car if i drive it babying it? like low rpm's and no boost?

My guess is balance shaft.

-Do you see any metal(aluminum) shaving in the oil(oil change), might have to cut open the oil filter, knocking noise could be any bearings on the crank, oil pump, balance shaft bearings.

Yes. Also check the infamous harmonic dampener.

well i changed my spark plugs and i noticed one of them was destroyed prob from improper timeing could that cause knock? and it was the side where i ehard knocking comeing form
